Map of Nature in Strathcona - Laminated
C$25.00
This colorfully illustrated map shows different species of flora and fauna found in Vancouver BC's Strathcona neighbourhood. The neighbourhood is the oldest in the city and is part of a much larger watershed that feeds into False Creek. The map includes species that have historically been recorded in the area, such as elk and sturgeon, and marks traditional salmon-bearing streams that were paved over to make way for urban development. The back of the map provides a detailed history of nature in the area.
The map is a project of the False Creek Watershed Society and was developed through a community-engaged art process led by Robi Smith and funded by a City of Vancouver community art grant.
